Bombastic A won 2-1 against NSGSC Strikers.
"Solid win yesterday Ladies! You battled hard in the second half and came from behind to take a well-earned three points; indeed, the way you played over the second 45 could have produced a multiple-goal win margin with the quality efforts on goal you produced. When it mattered, you stepped up as a team and played smart, fluid and organized football. Back to front, for much of the match you played like a team, one unit; that is the goal each time out, and I hope it is a sign of more to come. I saw many of the little things we work on in training yesterday, and believe that you are continuing to evolve positively not only as a team but as individuals. There is still room for improvement, however I believe these things are mental in nature and easier to correct than skill-oriented/shape issues. As noted last night afterwards, that win solidifies our place at 4th in the table, as we cannot finish further down the table. There is still the opportunity to finish third, so now we eye that prize from a league perspective. However, the task at hand is now Cup play for the next three Sundays. Our focus will be there; mine and yours. I feel very confident about our prospects and hope you all do as well. Lets train hard and well this week, and be ready to start our 2010 Cup run on the front foot."

Bombastic A lost 2-3 against Vancouver Thunderbirds
"Interesting match yesterday, ladies. There was some very good, and a little of the very bad. You were the measure of the T-birds for 60 minutes yesterday, and a strong case could be made were deserving of at least a draw. Unfortunately (this is the bad) the match is 90 minutes long, and we were a bit sleepy for the first 30. A 3-0 lead isn't usually overcome, though we tried admirably. Now, the very good; you competed hard, were aggressive, and showed that the attention to detail in our training is slowly starting to become instinctive for you in your play. We're now, again, scoring at the pace per match I'd like us to and we need to in order to win regularly also. 5 over two matches is great, no question about it. However, the caveat to that is that we need to keep it out of our net far more often than we have been and that comes down to a team-wide defensive focus and commitment. Breakdowns happen, teams score - we just need to limit those to far less than we have in the past two matches. Remember the very good, live with and forgive the bad, and focus on training towards securing our first Cup win of the season next Sunday evening."

Game Summary from Ryan:
"A solid effort on Sunday Ladies; under the circumstances, you played your hearts out and left everything you had out on the pitch. Though you came up a bit short on the score sheet, it could have easily been a draw and a more positive result that way. As it stood after 90 minutes, you have nothing to regret and everything to be proud of. Sometimes, you can give all you have, be at your best you can be that day and still come up a shy of your goal. Yesterday was one of those days. Special kudos to Jen for standing in goal and putting in a pretty strong performance! Only one got by her, and that's not bad at all. Keep your heads up, stay positive, and move forward to next week and the beginning of Cup play."
