Game Summaries - October 4-5, 2008

Bombastic B played a solid match against Invivo FC. Both teams managed a goal in the first half and it ended up 1-1. Cathy Doucet scored her first goal for Bombastic with a nice shot from outside the box. Chloe Handley played some solid goal and helped the defence keep their shape - especially in the second half. Player of the Game: Jeni McKay who checked their solid, very physical and skilled forward for 90 minutes and did a great job.

Bombastic A had their best game of the season, playing the previously unbeaten and untied Burnaby Canadians Shock, to a 0-0 tie. While both teams had their moments, by the second half Bombastic looked clearly the better team. Strong games all around from everyone, Freddy Bell ran miles in center midfield and the whole backline played very well. Player of the game: Tricia McNorton, who won header after header, did all the "stopping" that a stopper should do and consistantly pushed the ball up the field with some great runs and passes.

Game Summaries - September 27/28 2008

Both teams tied this weekend against very strong opponents. Both games featured some fantastic defending and some really good team play - everyone is fighting hard and things are looking good.

The B played to a 0-0 draw with the West Coast Impact - the whole defence played fantastic and Charlotte Kistner was really solid in goal.
Player of the game: Fionna Main.

The A team tied 1-1 against a well organized and fast NV Strikers. Kira Sanger scored a great goal on a nice pass from Freddy Bell and the defending, especially in the second half was top notch. Player of the game: Claire Hatcher.
