B Game Summary - May 25, 2010

Bombastic B won 2-1 against Westside Storm at Windermere High School.

Game summary from Hugh:
Bombastic B continued its strong spring season with a 2-1 win over Westside Storm. Bombastic carried them play for most of the game, especially in the second half. After allowing another own goal (2 of 3 goals against this spring have been scored on our own net), we scored two beautiful goals to to take the game. Marta scored on a rebound after some great passing set up Alexis for a good low shot on net. Ana Maria finished calmly after 5 or 6 passes took us from our own end to their net. Megan and Julie also had some great chances and Robyn had a really strong game.

B Game Summary - May 18, 2010

Bombastic B won 2-1 against the Vancouver Vixens C at Windermere High School.

Game summary from Hugh:
Bombastic B won for the second time in three tries this spring: 2-1 against Vancouver Vixens. It was a bit of a strange game and although we didn't play our best game, there were a number of strong performances. Marta scored on a beautiful long shot in the first half. The Vixens put on some pressure in the second half; Triona made some really good saves to keep our lead for a while but they eventually scored on an own goal to tie it up. A great effort from Stephanie set up Marta's second goal for the win. Our defense again was very good.

B Game Summary - May 11, 2010

Bombastic B tied at zero with the Vancouver Chill at Windermere High School.

Game summary from Hugh:
Bombastic B played a strong game with a disappointing result (0-0)against the Vancouver Chill. Defensively, we easily handled the opposition's fowards, limiting them to one chance in each half. Offensively, we dominated the game and were thwarted by an excellent keeper. We must have had at least 15 shots on goal. Shooting practice may be in order. Still we were unlucky not have something bounce in.

B Game Summary - May 4, 2010

Bombastic B won 3-1 against Vancouver That Team at Windermere High School.

Game summary from Hugh:

Bombastic B won their first spring league game on Tuesday night, 3-1 over "That Vancouver Team". It was a really impressive effort on all fronts, especially offensively as we created oodles of chances and the score could have easily been much higher. Unfortunately, we only managed one goal in the first half, so when they scored early in the second it made the game pretty exciting for a while. We responded really well and put two late ones past their very good keeper to give us the victory we deserved. There were lots of good performances and Triona was great in goal. Well done Bombastics.
