Bombastic B Game - September 17, 2011

Bombastic B won 2-0 against the West Coast FC Banshees at Van Tech turf.

Game Summary from Hugh:
The Bombastic B Ladies went to 2 and 0 on the new season with a convincing 2-0 win over West Coast FC Banshees. The score actually flatters the opposition; I don't believe that they had a shot on goal. A shout out to Lindsay who was busier in warm up - at least she got a few pass backs in the second half. The whole back line of Ali, Jana, Christina, and Courtney was very impressive as we kept the ball on the good side of midfield for most of the game. It was nice to watch the passes to the outside defenders and the offence we generated from there. Ana's goal was pretty and Kara, Marion and Jenny were all solid in centre midfield.

Bombastic B Game - September 11, 2011

Bombastic B won 4-2 against the Hodder Tugs at Brighouse School.

Game Summary from Hugh:
On a very hot afternoon, Bombastic B ladies opened their season in Div 3 with an impressive 4-2 win over Hodder Tugs. Some questionable refereeing led to a free kick just outside our 18 and an early goal for the opposition. Bombastic fought back hard and 2 very nice goals gave us a 2-1 halftime advantage. After they tied it, Lindsay made a couple of nice saves and her teammates rallied to score twice more and secure the win. Coach was impressed by the hard work and the obvious desire to win. Great start to the season.
