Bombastic B Cup Game - March 4, 2012
Bombastic B lost 0-3 to Invivo FC at Andy Livingstone turf.
Game Summary from Hugh:
An extremely successful 2011/12 season came to a disappointing end on Sunday as the Bombastic B Ladies lost 3-0 to Invivo FC in cup competition. The score did not reflect the game as Bombastic dominated for large parts of the game. Unfortunately we had a poor first 30 minutes, and Invivo - who had one particularly skilled and fast forward scored twice on quick counter-attacks. One was a breakaway and both were good low shots where Lindsay was left at the shooter's mercy and had little chance. Bombastic pressed for the last 15 minutes, but is it was 2-0 at the half.
We continued to carry the play in the second half, but the center of their defense was strong and we had trouble getting enough grade A scoring chances. Their 3rd goal came against the run of play after a couple of questionable calls on a free kick that (possibly accidently - I think it was a cross) looped into the top left corner. Bombastic continued to play hard for the rest of the game - Invivo was stuck in their own end for long stretches of time - but could not get a goal past their very active goalkeeper.

1. Gagan Toor: her best game as a Bombastic player
2. Ali Lundy: absolutely fearless and basically unbeatable at right back
3. Kara Archer: solid in center midfield - does so many things right
