B Game Summary - November 14, 2010

Bombastic B won 1-0 against Richmond Retros at London #1.

Game Summary from Hugh:
Bombastic moves to 9-0-0 by squeezing out a 1-0 win over West Richmond Metros. If this team has an issue it really is scoring goals, as we totally controlled this game from the opening whistle and everything was there - effort, skill, team-work - we just seem to lack that final touch or two to score as many as we deserve. That said, some kudos have to go to Richmond who played very hard and almost got the 0-0 draw they were hoping for. Our goal came in about the 80th minute. Prior to that, we had a penalty stopped, hit at least four posts, hit 3 or 4 right at the keeper, and had countless narrow misses. Some really strong efforts - I think again the back line deserves some mention - Ali, Tanya, Jana and Christina all played very well - sometimes you don't notice the center backs because they are doing their job so well - total Richmond scoring chances: 1.

B Game Summary - November 6, 2010

Bombastic B won 3-0 against Semiahmoo Strikers at Van Tech turf.

Game Summary from Hugh:
Bombastic B kept their perfect record with a 3-0 win over the Semiahmoo Strikers.In one of our most complete games of the season Bombastic dominated from the start and the score could've been higher - we still need to work on our finishing (and their keeper made some good saves). Our defense played a great game, and Semiahmoo rarely threatened in the first half. We had a ton of chances, but it took about 35 minutes before we finally got a goal. Ana and Marta combined really well together, and each scored late in the first half. Ana opened the second half with another goal on a pass from Marta and the game was essentially over. Everyone played well, and what was particularly impressive was our desire to tackle hard and be the first to every loose ball.
