B Game Summary - June 3, 2010

Bombastic B lost 3-4 against Dzunukwa FC at Strathcona Oval.

Game summary from Hugh:

Bombastic B put in a hell of an effort in a 4-3 loss to the top team in our division Dzunukwa FC. We had a slow start, and continuing our streak of bad luck, we let in our 3rd own goal of the season (out of 4 goals against - at the time) early in the first half. The rest of the half was very exciting - Alexis and Julie scored great goals for us - but Dzunukwa had some great plays too and it was 3-2 for them after 30 minutes. Dzunukwa had some very good players and were very physical, but Bombastic played up to their level and met the challenge. Playing as the lone striker (we used 5 midfield players), Julie got her second goal in the second half and we were all even at 3-3 when we got an unfortunate penalty called against us. Dzunukwa converted to take the lead - we tried hard to equalize but could not get the 4th goal. A really strong effort from the whole team. Special mention to the tireless work by Tanya and Courtney at the back.
