Game Summaries - November 2, 2008

The B team tied the NSGSC Foxes 1 - 1 and deserved a better result as we pretty much dominated from start to finish. Charlotte Kistner scored a great goal in the first half pouncing on a long clear from Fionna Main (who had a great game at sweeper) and beating their keeper low to the right corner. Theresa Webber also had a string game. Cathy Doucet worked tirelessly in central midfield, creating a whole bunch of chances. Unfortunately we couldn't finish in the second half and they managed a tying goal with about 2 minutes left in the game. Player of the game: Lisa Glowacki.

The A team won 2 - 0 over West Coast FC Strikers. A solid win - the result was never really in doubt. Our starting strikers, Kira Stanger and Erin Fujibayashi each scored an early goal, and the whole team played solidly for the rest of the game. Emily Jones had a strong game and Sandra Lindsjo earned her shut out with a couple of good saves in the second half. The game featured sunshine and then a ridiculous downpour for the last 20 minutes.
